Permissions Problem?

Hi

I'm using Phocagallery on a site and I'm having real grief. The first thing is that when I try to upload a new image I get:

Upload File [ Maximum Size: 0 B, Maximum Resolution: 0 x 0 px ]

I upload an image and it seems OK but I end up with just a white square. When I check the folder on the server the file is not uploaded. If I tick the box and regenerate then I get the same thing.

It's almost like a permission problem but I've got the ownership set to apache:apache and the permissions to 766.

Could anyone throw any light on this please.
