Blank Page when add new category in backend clicked

Phoca has been working fine but when I logged in last night And either tried to view a category or add a new category in the backend I get a blank page. I have been all over the forums looking for an answer and find nothing. I tried upgrading and that didn't offer any different results.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Hello,

I'm new to phoca gallery and as it seems i have the same problem as written above.


My installed packages are: "com_phocagallery_v3.1.5.zip" and "de-DE.com_phocagallery_25" and I'm working with Joomla 2.5 hosted on Alfahosting.
The Problem is when I try to create a new category I receive a blank page in joomlas backend. The following php-error is printed:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 95 bytes) in /var/www/web1231/html/libraries/joomla/language/language.php on line 792

but from my opinion the server memory is not maxed out until now.

Hi, no other advices , there is no memory in some of the Joomla! library file - so this is some question on webhosting you are using, no other can say something clue there

Here is just the solution if there is anyone who has the same problem:

Configuration: Phoca Gallery v3.1.5, Joomla 2.5, Alfahosting.de.

Problem: Phoca Gallery throws blank pages and errors about allowed memory size exhausted.

Solution: Go to your Alfahosting account under "my package" (german: "Mein Paket") => expert settings ("Experten-Einstellungen") => server settings ("Server-Einstellungen") and increase "php_memory". Normally it's about 16 MB, I increased it to total maximum of 92 MB and Phoca Gallery is now working fine.
