Notification Email Not Working?

Hey all,

I have 2 sites using Phoca Guestbook and registered version of the phoca guestbook latest entries module but for some reason it will not mail my users when there's a new entry/ item in the guestbook. In the parameters the "send email" has been set to "Administrator" (me). I thought it might have been the mail settings (Joomla Global Configuration, Server Settings) but I'm getting mail sent to me via other components. Any suggestions? Am I missing something?

It would be really nice if you could make an checkbox for mailing subscribing.
So people who have written in the guestbook would get a mail.
Is it possible?

For now there is no such option, so for now it must be customized.
