IE 8 Issues

I am having an issue with the phoca download script for joomla. I thought all was running fine but I just had someone point out to me that when using IE ( version 8 that i know of) when you attempt to view a file I get a <!--[endif]--> and half of the page does not load. However it does work in firefox.

and on the pages of phoca download that do load, and give me a download option, I get an error in ie8 but the download goes threw fine on firefox. I did notice that all the files are pdf's would this make a difference?

any help would be a great.

you can use the login:

if you go to either the newsletters, or the scholarship application you get a pop up error saying you can not download that file from this site. if you go to the member info you get a <end if> error.

Hi, I see, but no idea what is it causing by?

Testing on localhost and here:

see no problem in IE,

maybe try to check the server settings maybe there is some limitation ???
