Image Owner

Hi Guys,

I have searched for this and found that it was a feature request but cant find out how to do it.

You can assign an owner to a category folder and then all the images uploaded from the front end by which ever user always says it is owned by category owner.

The problem I have is that if any user uploads an illegal image to my site, and i try to ban the user, the image has no owner...

Any thoughts?

Hi, there is owner of category, if you set upload rights for owner, then only one user can upload.

Since 3.0.0 Phoca Gallery stores the info about user who have uploaded the file and this can be displayed in overlib

I turned on overlib and all i am getting is the name of the image....

When uploading I have modified the css so it only shows "Browse" and "Upload" so i wouldnt expect to see description in overlib if it isnt there. But I still dont see the user that uploaded the image, either in overlib or the phoca gallery backoffice.

I understand about the category thats fine. But individual spammers and people that think it is funny to post porn need to be banned, and I cannot see who uploaded what image, so that I can ban them...

Any ideas guys?

Hi, the info is there (in database) so then it must be somehow displayed somewhere - to see it, I will take a look at it.

I looked through the SQL database and cannot find anywhere where the username I stored? Any ideas of the record id?

Hi, the category is ownerid column and the one for images is userid column (since 2.7.9, or 3)
