JAK Lightbox blank thumbnails

Hi all!

I have the gallery set up to use the JAK Lightbox in horizontal mode. The sliding thumbnails under the main image are all blank. The same thing happens with the vertical mode. This only occurs with IE8 (don't have IE/ to test with). All of the thumbnails exist and are correctly displayed with IE9 and FF.

Server versions
Phoca Gallery 2.7.8
Joomla 1.5.23
PHP 5.3.3
Apache 2.2.16
Ubuntu 10.10

Client versions
XP SP3 + IE8
W7 SP1 + IE9

Any solutions?

I forgot to mention that I was using RocketTheme's Grunge template. After reading around, I found a post from allawy a few months ago that put me on the right track. The problem stems from the template's SmartLoad feature.

Either after disabling SmartLoad or after adding ",com_phocagallery" to the Component Ignores list with SmartLoad on, all of the thumbnails show up, in both horizontal and vertical mode.
