Hi guys
I use joomla 1.5 and Phocagallery both in their latest versions.
While I am the superadmin, I only look after technical stuff while another user as "normal admin" does all content-related things.
Now, I had an issue with thumbnail creation which disabled their creation. While I can reenable the setting to create them, he (as 'only' an admin) cannot, as the Parameter-Button is not shown. (Several topics here in the forum document that)
Is it possible to grant administrators the privilege to adjust those parameters? I mean after all, admins can install & uninstall components? So changing their parameters should not be only restricted to the superadmins, right?
Has anyone done this before or an idea how it could/should be done?
Thanks!
Allow non-super users to change parameters

Re: Allow non-super users to change parameters
Hi, this is problematic, all this depends on Joomla! itself. Displaying the parameters or not is a Joomla! rule, so maybe Joomla! itself needs to be modified to display parameters (and to allow manage them) for other users than super administrators are.

Hi Jan, thanks for your answer.

Well, perhaps in Joomla 1.6 that will be a bit more flexible with the new ACL system.
Have a nice day!
