Thumbnails generating again and again and again

Hi!

I'm use phoca gallery this is a very cool stuff
but now anything happend the thumbnail generator
i upload the many pic, more gallery.
and now i'm use watermark, all pic thumbnails generat renew and ever since even number of times klik the pictures menu, generat again and again.
i have no idea what happened.
help me

the site is redirecting to itself or?

upload all pic, after upload the watermark pic.
after select all pic and recreat thumbnails.
it's done
after go to category just see that, back to picture menu and again recreating all thumb automatic.
understand me?

Hi, thumbnails are created automatically if Phoca find there is no thumbnail of some used image. So e.g. if medium and small thumbnails were created in modal box window to select images which can be then added into edit area of image, then after saving the item (image item) the large thumbnail must be done.


So the question is:

- will stop the script creating of thumbnail sometime

or

- it will be not stopped and there is a loop of redirecting.

Then maybe some problem with creating thumbnails - they cannot be created or the browser has some problem with redirecting.

- Try to use other server (in case of loop)
- You can stop the thumbnail creating in parameters - ok, this will stop the automatically thumbnail creating, the problem is then the thumbnails are not created again.

... for such problem I think I need to see it live

I have this problem too Please help. It recreate thumbnails of images (when I go to backend Phoca -> Images), but the thumbnails are succesfully created before. I try to delete this images, delete category, delete directory, but it still re(create) thumbs again. Please help! I have phoca 2.7.6 running on Joomla 1.5.22

nevím, jestli můžu mluvit česky, ale možná to bude lepší. Nějak se jakoby zasekla cache komponenty nebo co a stále se znovuvytváří náhledy obrázků, taže musím čekat, až cca 15 obrázků projede a pak mohu pokračovat v práci... A bohužel, když vytvořím další obrázek, tak se jen zařadí do tohoto znovuvytvařovacího listu a jen se zvětší fronta, na kterou musím čekat. Co teď?
Zkusil jsem upgrade na phoca 2.7.8, problém přetrvává. Zdrojové obrázky, ze kterých se mají náhledy znovuvytvářet, jsem smazal včetně podadresářů... nechápu z čeho se ty obrázky vlastně tedy vytvářejí

Hmmm, tak jsem ještě zkusil vymazání cache prohlížeče, refresh stránek, vypadá to, že snad se to začíná chovat normálně... UFFF

i got the same problem. I created some categories including pictures. Everything worked fine and the thumbs are where they should be. But when I click the images it tries to recreate the thumbnails of all the pictures. The more picture I upload the longer it takes. Soon it will take a day before I am able to upload more pictures.

I got Joomla 1.5.9 and Phocagallery 2.7.8.

I did some more testing. Now, he does it for only a few picture, which are not on the server and not in the database anymore. They pratically do not exist for phoca gallery. I even disabled the creation of thumbnail, but he still tries to create the thumbnails for those 7 pictures. This is really weird. This program must get this information from somwhere. But where?

Edit: Now I did some more testing
I cleared the cache and deleted cookies and now it stopped. Then I turned creation of thumbnails back on and still doesnt do it. Now, I upload those pictures again. I replaced a space in their name with an underscore. Lets see what happens now.

Edit: Now, it stopped!
So the solution is:
0. Turn off Thumbnail creation
1. Delete pictures
2. Clear Cache and Cookies
3. Get rid of space (Maybe it still works with spaces)
4. Turn on Thumbnail Creation
5. Upload pictures
6. Add them to database
