I know that other people have had this problem, and I have searched the forums for help, and have tried all of the suggestions.
But no matter how I set things up I always come up with

The Captcha code you have entered is wrong. Please, try it again

I have even un-installed and done a clean re-install but unable to past this problem

lucky the web site is not live yet here is where it is set up http://www.franksidebottom.org.uk/site/ ... Itemid=205

If anyone can help, that really would be good, as I hope to go live with this web site next week.

I made three entries in your guestbook. Unfortunately this works only, if before the Reload Image button is pressed.
I have no idea why....

Hi, try to change the method of displaying the captcha imge in parameters component: JHTML or JRoute method...

But that did not help.

I will see if anyone else comes up with an idea, hope to get this working

OK, I have tried every combination to get this to work but no luck. I now have another solution running for a guest book

I have a number is web sites running phoca scripts and they work great, this is the very first time I have found a problem.

If this thread could now be closed or locked

I am also having the same problem.

It used to work fine, but then about a month or so ago, it suddenly stopped. Any idea what that could be from? "The Captcha code you have entered is wrong. Please, try it again" I just upgraded today to version 1.4.2 to 1.4.3 thinking that might fix it, and still no luck.

I tried using both JRoute and JHTML, neither works.

I actually just disabled the captcha temporarily so users can still post in the guestbook, but we're getting tons of spam. If you're willing to look at it back end I'll give you login credentials, and then you can enable and test it whenever you have the chance?
