Thumbnails re-create every time

Hi,

This is my strange problem.
Thumbnails creation process occur on lot of actions.
It happen whatever option "Enable Thumbnails Creation" is set to yes or no.

In backoffice everytime i do one of these actions :
- go to images section
- Publish or unpublish an image
- Click on recreate thumbnail for an image
- Edit an image then click on save or close

Then Thumbnails re-creation is run ...
And i cant stop it!

If i click on "Stop Thumbnail creation" it dont stop.
But at the end it display the message "Phoca Gallery thumbnail creation was disabled successfully (you can enable it in Default Settings)"
But nothing change.

I'm using Phoca Gallery 2.7.5 with Joomla 1.5.21, Joomlart template and RS Firewall component.

It is crazy ...
Any idea ?

Hi, maybe you should check your cache settings or some similar settings, maybe there is some restriction to redirect, did you try it with other browser?

Hi Jan,

Thank you for your answer and sorry for my late answer but i didn't receive notification ...

Finally the way to solve this problem is to disable thumbnail creation then empty brower cache (firefox3.5.x) ...

But anyway i don't understand why, when thumbnail creation is enable, it recreate thumbnail on all actions ...
This problem occurs again on another website these last days. Very annoying.

Standard way, the script automatically check for images which does not have thumbnails yet and if it creates one it is redirect back and find otheres, if all found, then the script ends

Hmmm

I think there is a cache problem or something like that.
On this site all thumbnails were already created but despite that, on any image edit, or other action, thumbnail creation process was launched for ALL images and it is long when you have about 150 images (and no way to stop except going back in browser) ...
So i think there is a bug or a configuration problem ...

Is the cache or temp folder location can generate this problem ?

On all our site log and temp folder are moved to parent level to increase security. Configuration is updated.
Also we use RS Firewall and modsecurity. Perhaps it can change something.

But anyway it really seems this is a cache problem ...

Hi, no experiences with moved cache folder or firewall, but maybe the firewall limits the redirecting somehow
