From Category directly to Modal

I want to show in a menu item: ALL CATEGORIES, i want to show all categories and sub-categories. This is the default installation, and this is how everything works.

The only difference from everything else is that when we reach the last category level it wont go to the PICTURES LAYOUT.
I want to go directly from the category to the pop modal.

example:

1st level: FLOWERS
2nd level: ROSES
3rd level: Photos of the roses

It really would be nice if we could say to phoca gallery to never go to the pictures level and open the modal at the last category level.

Hi, there is no such function, this needs to be customized in the code, for this feature you need to load all the modal box behaviour which is made in category view

Yes my team have made that in at least one project. But i think is a cool idea.

Some clients asked me for that one.

To have the last category open to the selected details view (lightbox) rather than a list of images?

Hi, I can add it into the feature request list but this is really time demanding, so really no idea when I can find time for looking at it (for now I need to finish and overwrite all the extensions to Joomla! 1.6 (I do nothing else since 1.5 year than overwriting to work in Joomla! 1.6 ) and hope 1.7 will not need such massive changes like Joomla! 1.6 needed)
