I need to create 2 x artists galleries on the one website, one of which I anticipate to be quite a large number of artists and therefore a large number images.
I do not know if I would be best to use Phoca Gallery or Mosets Tree (for the alphabet search facility).
My requirements are;
I need to display a gallery of artists with these features:
-view their portfolio (light box/slideshow)
-allow comments from the public (but only after approved from the administrator)
-upload several images at once
-allow artist to upload their own images from the front end after registration
-watermark
What I find difficult with Phoca is that once I have uploaded eg: 25 images, then I have to select them from amongst the 150 that I have already uploaded, in order to create the thumbnails. Is there an easy way around this?
I would value your comments and opinions on the best way to achieve this.
Thanks
Robyn

Re: Artists Gallery
Hi, just try to test it on some test site:
-view their portfolio (light box/slideshow) - it is possible
-allow comments from the public (but only after approved from the administrator) - possible with external comment system - JComments or Facebook
-upload several images at once - in frontend you can use single upload or java upload (since Phoca Gallery 3, new multiple upload feature added to frontend, but to backend too) https://www.phoca.cz/news/30-phoca-news/ ... 2-released
-allow artist to upload their own images from the front end after registration - there is UCP for this or category view (with different permsions)
-watermark - yes.
