frontpage layout

Im pretty new on Phoca, and what i want is to chance my gallery from coppermine with almost 10000 pictures to Phoca.

My question is abouth the frontpage.

is it possible to have a layout like:

Categorie1 ............................................3 maps with 50 pictures
Categorie2.............................................5 maps with 32 pictures
Categorie3 ............................................2 maps with 45 pictures


And when you click on the categorie, you will see the submaps

Hope it is possible, couse i like phoca much, and its better integrated into joomla than coppermine.

Hi, as default there is no such option, but you can customize the default.php file to add such output.

Phoca Gallery uses unlimited level of categories, so categories can be categoires and maps can be subcategories ... but if you want to display the maps with subcategories, then you should create more menu links, e.g.

1 menu link to map where categories will be displayed (you will set which categories)
2 menu link to map where categories will be displayed (other categories then in first link), etc.

There are diffrent options...
