Error displaying picasa thumbnail in subcategory

Hi,
I'm having problem displaying categories with subcategories, if you open subcategory there is no problem, thumbnails diplay properly, but if you go level up to category view, you see folder image for that certain subcategory that holds picasa album.

check here:
"adriatica.net" is my test picasa album

as you can see there is no problem here, but if you go to his parent category, thumbnails are displayed random, when the time comes to show "adriatica.net" thumbnail the folder icon is shown instead.

Refresh page until you see folder icon in "Poslovni prostori" thumbnail.

Hi, I see no folder icon there but this can happen, in case there is some empty category which have no image (or subcategory) and the random image will be taken from this subcategory e.g. so the script will recognize, ther is no image so it must display folder instead.

Try to change the random to other method to not get such problems.

Hi Jan,
thanks for the fast reply, but this doesn't help me, the thing is, that it aways displays folder icon when it displays thumbnail from category that is linked to picasa album, i'm afraid if I make my other categories load images from picasa, it would always show folder icon. Can I make category thumbnail use image stored on local server, and when you open that category it would show images from picasa album.

Hi, did you set the parameter in menu link to gallery, see the demo:

If I move the Picasa Gallery to subcategory so the category will be displayed in image list and set:

Display image instead of folder icon
in Category View Settings (List of Images)
in parameters component to menu link,

the image is displayed instead of category folder icon.

Hi,
I did set it in the gallery parameters and in the menu component parameters, so that is not the problem.

But check this out. You moved picasa category to the subcategory and it was OK, now go back, out of that category, you should see the folder icon here. Since the thumbnails are changed randomly you will see thumbnails of all other images except the one from the picasa gallery, then it will show folder icon.

This is it, the category "Poslovni prostori" holds 8 subcategories , only 1 of them is picasa gallery, all thumbnails are displayed OK, except when the time comes to display some thumbnail from picasa gallery then it shows folder icon.

Display image instead of folder icon
in Category View Settings (List of Images)


Include this category images?
