Sorry... another font colour problem

Post by Wulfstan »

I've checked the forum for the answer, but I can't seem to fix the problem. The comment font is the same as the background, which is basically black. This is very odd as the default font for the site is white and all the articles are ok, the header and date stamps are fine, it's just the comment text that I can't change. I'm using a custom template so don't know if the format is the same as normal template css files

Hi, in parameters (parameters component in menu link to guestbook), you can change:

Font Color - Color of all fonts used in message boxes (title, name)
Second Font Color - Color of date in message box

All other colors are set in your template. and needs to be changed there.

Love the guestbook, but I seem to be having more or less the same problem :(

This is what my guestbook currently looks like: http://rp-originals.nl/joomla/index.php ... &Itemid=54
If you fill out your name, email etc, you can barely read what it says (content box is no problem) and also the submit/reset text on the buttons is almost invisble.

I tried to change this by going to the menu and change the parameters there, but no such luck, because that only changed the colours of the messages that have been posted and those are okay.

Is there a way to change the currently unreadable texts to black, so that it's clear for everyone to read?

Thanks for your answer!

Any chance anybody could explain where this is or what it means?

Don't worry I sorted it... worked out what I had to do when I went to set up another Guestbook out of frustration :(

I'll explain, if you solve my problem :D

You should go to your menu button and click on the menu where your GB is located (in my case it's in Top Menu). Then click on the guestbook and on the right side you'll see Parameters (Component) open that and there you can edit the font colours.

Which, unfortunately isn't what I need to solve my problem :(

Hi,
Any chance anybody could explain where this is or what it means?

Hi, in parameters (parameters component in menu link to guestbook), you can change:
Yes, this means:
backend --> Components --> Phoca Guestbook --> Phoca Guestbook Control Panel --> Parameters --> Post Settings -->
Font Color=As you like (Color of all fonts used in message boxes (title, name))
Second Font Color=As you like (Color of date in message box)
Save you settings!

or:

backend --> Menus --> Your Menu with Link to Phoca Guestbook --> Your Link to Phoca Guestbook --> Menu Item: [ Edit ] --> Parameters (Component) --> Post Settings -->
Font Color=As you like (Color of all fonts used in message boxes (title, name))
Second Font Color=As you like (Color of date in message box)
Save your settings!
Kind regards,
Benno
