No public access to some files

Post by iceT18 »

Hi,

I am unsing phocadownload 1.3.3. Everything worked fine, but now i got a problem.
Some of my users had uploaded some files and now it isnt possible to open it again (without logging in). So i have no public access anymore.
The links to the document are added in an article.

When i look to the phoca settings i can see:

# the files have public access
# the artice has public access

I compared these files with other files -> and i can see no difference ->the other files work perfect.

Is it possible that there is a error in Phocadownload?

Thank you very much for helping me!

Hi, check if the category can be accessed by public (category where the files are saved)

Hi,

All categories and sections have "registered" access. But i have public access from outside. (because i think of the public files)
If i change the access of the category/section which has an error (no public access) to "public" i get the same as before -> no public access

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

This is the site:

http://www.agriforenergy.com/content/index.php

When you go to:
Pure Vegetable Oil-> Regional Reports
everything works fine (downloading the PDFs)

When you go to:
Bioheat -> Regional Repots
it is not possible to download the PDF

--
I have uploaded the PDF once again, i have created the content page new, nothing works. And i don`t know why.
When i look to the LINK of the PDF, i can see the the link which doesn't work has at the end "&ITEMID=111". Is that the error? Because the other links looks different.
When you need the login data to the page, i can send you a PM.

Thanx

Hi, I see no such links on the site - the link should include itemid parameter

Hi,

For example, on this link:
http://www.agriforenergy.com/content/in ... &Itemid=89

This document is working:
http://www.agriforenergy.com/content/in ... eports-pvo
---
And on this Link:
http://www.agriforenergy.com/content/in ... Itemid=117

This document is NOT working:
http://www.agriforenergy.com/content/in ... Itemid=111

I dont know why.
Thank you very much.

Hi, try to upgrade to latest version, so we will know the behaviour is the same in the latest version.

Check if all categories have the same rules (like all documents) - if all categories are e.g. for registered only, if all files are e.g. for registered only too, etc.
