Different size thumbnails for categories/category

i would like to use a larger size thumbnail for my "categories" page, lets say i have "5 categories" and i would like the image to be different for each category listed and the image size 300px x 200 px - then when you click on the "category" of your choice, i would like the thumbnails of all the images in that category to be say 100px x 100px- is this possible, i can't seem to work that out - thanks in advance - steve

Hi, you can create different thumbnails for different category - it means, you will add images for one category, then you create thumbnails, then you will change the thumbnails settings and then you can make other category images ...

But, then you need to solve the design issues, because of different thumbnails, you e.g. cannot use background images.

Hi jan - thank u for your response, however i don't understand what u mean - i just want a larger thumbnail for the "categories" and then smaller for the "category" - like using a unique "avatar" for each "categories" listing... know what i mean? thanks -s teve

Hi, in such case you need to customize it (to use small thumbnails for category and large thumbnails in categories view)

Hi same issue here...I want to have 144x666px for the categories view thumbs and then 144x144px for the category view thumbs. I can set the size of the categories view to medium or small in the option, but I can't find such an option in the category view settings. If I could set the category view to small, my problem would be solved. Thanks in advance.

Hi, as written above - in categories view: small or medium thumbnails can be displayed. In category view only medium thumbnails can be displayed. To display small thumbnails in category view, this needs to be customized directly in the code
