Linking to Phoca Download File in Image's External Link URL

What I really want to do is use the phoca gallery (in Joomla 3.3) to display a set of images and under each image, I want to add a download link to download a pdf file of that image. I noticed that there is an External Link option for each image. Here, is it possible to link to a Phoca Download File instead of an external download url? The main reason I want to link to phoca download is because I can easily manage these download files and monitor the statistics. So if its possible to link images in Phoca gallery to phoca download file, then this feature will be soooo helpful. How can I do that? Can someone help me please?

Hi, I use the download links (Phoca Download) here:
https://www.phoca.cz/joomla-templates

But the links are the same for internal or external links - they are just full url links.

Thank you Jan for that link. It gave me an idea on how I can use the gallery to link to the download section. When I add the link to the external URL, the external url title and link shows fine when viewed from the Phoca Gallery component page. However, when I display the gallery as a plug-in inside an article, then the external url details are not showing in the plug-in.
