fadeslideshow persistent mode

Is the a way to enable the persistent mode in the fade slideshow?
Just adding the parameter 'persist: true' only makes half of the job - it stops the slideshow at the actual image, but if you click the play button again it starts at the first image.
I think there have to be a cookie written, but i don't know how to do that.

Hi, hmmm, I think you need to directly somehow customize the javascript of the slideshow but I didn't do such modification yet, so cannot give any clue advice
