duplicate title tag in google webmaster tools

Hi there,

since I use phocagallery I have tons of 'duplicate title tags'.

I use google webmaster tools to analyse the site for SEO.
When I go to search appearance > html improvements, 617 duplicate title tags are listed.
all of them are urls to an image I have on my site using phocagallery.

three urls per image with the same titletag, for example

/gallery/kenny/22-kenny/detail/460-inksane-tattoo-roeselare-kenny-anderlecht-rsca
/gallery/kenny/22-kenny/detail/460-inksane-tattoo-roeselare-kenny-anderlecht-rsca?phocaslideshow=1&tmpl=component
/gallery/kenny/22-kenny/detail/460-inksane-tattoo-roeselare-kenny-anderlecht-rsca?tmpl=component

Any idea how I can solve this. or prevent google from crawling these last two urls, or something.. ?

hi, this is still the one site only with different parameters, so if you want to set title for different parameters like pagination, and other parameters, this needs to be customized, but I think there should be other way to tell Google, this is only one unique site with different parameters e.g. for displaying the content, etc.

thanks for your reply, but what do you mean with 'the one site'? google webmaster tools? or the phocagallery? or..

and this:
/gallery/kenny/22-kenny/detail/460-inksane-tattoo-roeselare-kenny-anderlecht-rsca

is in fact one identical site - the first does not load the modules the second loads them but in fact it is still one site - the same like one of your site produces html for normal view and html (e.g. without css) for e.g. blind users - you need to differentiate both version of one page (e.g. with parameters) but for search results both version are only one page with one unique content.

I see, now I understand how it works and what you mean.

Do you have any idea about how I can tell google this is one unique site ?
Or any idea how I can make different title tags depending on what url was used?

Hi, hmm, not sure but try to see webmaster tools, maybe there is some tool for this
