Did you recreate all the thumbnails (with additional thubmnails enabled) - seems like they are created only for the one category.

I deleted everything from public_html/images/phocagallery/thumbs and then went to the Phoca Gallery Images page which seemed to trigger the regeneration of the deleted thumbnails. Is there something else that I have to do?

Hi, then they should be created for every category - was the regeneration ok?

No, it wasn't. That's what I did each time and I still have old thumbnails. Is there anyway you could go into my site and take a look?

Ok, I figured out the thumbnails. There were more in subdirectories that I hadn't deleted and therefore weren't recreated. So now that I deleted and regenerated all of the thumbnails, I can get them all to look like your demo.

My next question is I thought that the pics in portrait orientation would have thumbnails with the same orientation (ie. _m1_) and the landscape pics would have landscape thumbnails (ie. _m_). But this is not always the case and when it isn't it can make for some awkward cropping. How does phocagallery decide whether to show a tall or landscape thumbnail?

Hi, Phoca Gallery allways displays portrait as portrait but randomly displays the normal or landscape images.

See:
components\com_phocagallery\views\category\view.html.php
line cca. 982 (//Masonry ... )
