white screen in the backend picture view after import > 17k

hi,

I migrate an existing site completly to Joomla 2.5 and by the way get rid off the old ICE gallery (at least I hope).

I imported the complete folder structure (> 170 folders) with a more than 17.000 pictures. Everything works fine (without thumb generation). At the moment still in dev environment running on XAMPP. Even in the front end everything looks good. I can see all folders. Problem is in the backend. The Picture view only creates an empty white screen. Pictures per side is set to 20.

Hope anybody can help

Hi, in case, the thumbnail creation is disabled, there are no thumbnails to be displayed - you need to enable thumbnails generation in Options (but if there are so many images, you should enable pagination thumbnail generation:
