Migrate extensions from Joomla! 2.5 to Joomla! 3.1

Ciao,
I wanna update Joomla! 2.5 to Joomla! 3.1, then Phoca Gallery 3.2.6 to Phoca Gallery 4.0.2.

How can I do it without lose all my category gallery?

Is this a good procedure?:
1) Unistall Phoca Gallery 3.2.6
2) Update to Joomla! 2.5 to Joomla! 3.1
3) (re)install Phoca Gallery 4.0.2

Any instructions? Or that is a work in progress?

Hi, I will write a guide after all extensions will be overwritten for Joomla! 3 (I hope I will do it before Joomla! 3 will be stable LTS) - for now I cannot give any advice as I didn't do the migration yet

Hi, no I still didn't overwrite all the extensions, I hope I will write it before Joomla! 3 will be stable LTS.
