How to create a category for all users

hello sirs,

Im trying to do the following, which after reading Phoca Gallery's manual seems possible, but isnt working for me.

I want to have a category(with subcategories) which users can upload pictures into.

so for a test, I create a Category(no parent category),
access = public,
access rights = all registered users
upload rights = all registered users
delete rights = admin username
owner = nobody.

I then create a joomla user(registered user), login-in from Joomla-front end., etc but I cant find the above category in the categories the user can upload into.
I published the user control panel for registered users.

I can only see the logged-in user's main category, and nothing more.

pls help.

Hi, in UCP, you need to have main (parent) category, see:
