I've created 2 categories and i want new users to upload their photos to one of them,
how to set same category as default for all users and disable the ability to change the
category for users?

that did not solved my problem

there are 2 categories created by SU and uploading works just fine
but when im as a normal user i cant upload to them ... in the user panel
it says main category not created

Hi, in UCP, users can only upload to their cateogories, they should have one main category (created by them in frontend, or by admin in backend but with granted ownership - admin should add ownership for the main cateogory)

I have essentially the same issue. As the site Admin I want to control the main category and the first tier of subcategories, but let the frontend user select or add second tier categories. Basically what I want is to merge the UCP for Phoca Download and Phoca Gallery.
