4.0.0 beta / Joomla 3 causing proeblem with masonry effect

Post by OasisNina »

Hello!

First problem:
I tried to put the settings like in the example of the masonry effect page but my page gives back this on category-view:

Warning: getimagesize(/www/htdocs/w00980f8/j30/images/phocagallery/aktionen/thumbs/phoca_thumb_m1_kk10.jpg) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /www/htdocs/w00980f8/j30/administrator/components/com_phocagallery/libraries/phocagallery/image/imagefront.php on line 815

I tried to find out what the problem is, but I failed. See here: http://foto-ganzmann.de/j30/index.php/s ... diogalerie
The thumbs are created but they don't show up.

Second Problem:
The thumbs in http://foto-ganzmann.de/j30/index.php/s ... 9-aktionen don't show up as well. I don't know why sometimes one shows and others don't and if I reload the page, others show up ...

I like the gallery really a lot and the masonry effect is exactly what I was looking for, so please help me get it going! :)

Thanks in advance,
Nina

Hi,

1) 2) on the server the image is not presented:
http://foto-ganzmann.de/j30/images/phoc ... 1_kk10.jpg

This means, you didnt enabled Additional Thumbnails parameter in Options

Additional Thumbnails (Only medium thumbnails | Only small thumbnails | Medium and small thumbnails | No) Create additional thumbnails which are used for different features (Mosaic Effect in Categories View, Different Thumbnail Height in Category View). Be aware, creating a lot of different thumbnails can slow down your server or may be stopped in case, your server does not have enough memory or original images are too large.

https://www.phoca.cz/documents/2-phoca-g ... e-joomla-3

Don't forget to go to Image view in administration after setting this parameter so the additional thumbnails will be created.

Thank you, that worked very well!

I still have issues with the category view. It is n ot looking as good as your demo, tho I just disabled the ratings and stuff. My thumbs show up like 180 x 360 although I never wrote these settings into the general settings of thumbnail creation. Can you maybe give me a hint?

This is where you can see it: http://www.foto-ganzmann.de/index.php/s ... 9-aktionen

Thanks!

Hi, try to test it with another standard template, maybe some part of your system (template or system plugin) changes the size of the thumbnails

Hmm, maybe there is some conflict with javascript there.

I have disabled every css on your page so discovered, there is no problem in CSS
but then I have disabled javascript and seems like it is ok (the gallery was not centered there as the centering and masonry effect is done by javascript) but the images were right aligned with right size
