category page : title below and without number of images

hallo,
the category list page is important for me and it would look like your wall paper page.
it is the page where i show the albums (categories).

currently i have selected three columns and medium size with shadow.
like your demo title of category is on right of images and it shows the number of images.

Can't we specify title below category images and "mask image number" ?
i am not skill in css (except if it is easy to copy paste in a dialog box somewhere) so checkbox and listbox in parameters of controlpanel is welcome.

IN FACT I AM LOOKING FOR YOUR WALL PAPER LOOK WITH 4 COLUMNS

by the way wall paper demo is not clear for me. does it create an amazing galery page in an existing site with left sidebar tree,... or does it force a new theme to the whole site ? I have not clearly understood themes

can you please tell me how writing the name of the category/album below the thumbnail (or overlay at mouse rollover like widgetkit) and how to remove the ugly number of images in the category ?

i suppose then we spare lot of room between thumbnails and your soft will match the number of thumbnails per row ? otherwise how can i specify 4 columns per row ?

1) images are stored in float boxes, so they fit to the site, the count of columns is not set (but you can set it if you know the width of the site and large of your thumbnails, means: WIDTH OF YOUR SITE = LARGE OF THUMBNAIL + PADDING, MARGIN (can be set in paramters) x COUNT OF THUMBNAILS

Means, if you e.g. wants to display 3 columns and your site has width: 1000, you will set that the size of thumbnails will be 3 (1000/3 = 300 plus padding and margin)

You can center the output too ....

2) the CSS is here: https://www.phoca.cz/wallpapers/componen ... custom.css ... you can download it - if you will use the CSS and you will enable custom css in parameters, such will be used, such css contains all the formatting.

q1. if i understand, it is better to download the css from your link, change it and upload it somewhere on my site rather than editing the default one which will be overwritten at next update. correct ?

q2. where do i activate custom css ? i don't find it in phoca gallery parameters

q3. how do i rename this new css (ie:my-phocagallery.css?) and where do i need to upload this file with filezilla ?

q4. does it overwrite all settings i have selected in parameters panel ? if yes, forget this solution, i am not expert in css and don't intend to spend monthes to configure a gallery.

q5. can you please give me the css code to add at end of this css to change category view ( i suppose at end overwrite what is defined above in css file?) :

with following modifications :
- white border on top is not eaten anymore and has same size then three other sides (bug ?)
- add a little space (ie:30px)between thumbnails and "powered by phoca" text
- animaux (2), fleurs (2)... below thumbnails and centered with the image
- remove "(2)" from animaux(2)...

I think the three settings i ask for should be in the parameters because quite basic and default display is ugly, never seen album names on right of thumbnails.

can you please send me the modified css :
- white frame is not eaten at top (bug?)
- no category number and no image number
- name of album (category) below the thumbs

and can you please tell me exactly where to upload this new css which overwrites the existing one ?

It would be so nice these few features are in the joomla settings of phoca gallery without writing any code or modify css because these are very basic

I can make a donation for this small consulting if needed

good new i have found infos in your documentation (css-styling phoca gallery) !
i was asking where css must be located and received no answer. This is written in the doc. They are in in the assets folder.
i have found the two css files, downloaded with filezilla as backup, opened the custom one which is empty and added the example code for hidden the number of images in category (exactly what i need, i am lucky ) and uploaded the new custom css file on my server.

NOTHING CHANGES !!!!! ?????

this code is complex. without the example i wouldn't have found this by myself. where can i find such code for each parameter we want to change ?

for instance, in my case, where is the code to put the names of categories below the thumbnails so i hope it will be more beautiful.

i think i have understood.
no need to play with filezilla.
in parameters of phoca gallery we must activate custom css but instead of writing modifications in custom.css and re-upload, you just need to write all the code in the css listbox below the custom css activation
correct ?

i have restored the initila empty custom css file and used this method with the example to remove number of images and it works.
however the white boxes around thumbnails of images (the ones containing the loupe/zoom tool and download icon) have disappeared too perhaps due to display none command !!!
