Phoca gallery plugin

Phoca gallery is displaying only code in my joomla k2 articles, i have all plugin updated, i just cant figure out what is happening, the gallery was working perfectly before but for some reason i can't explain. i can't get it to work. again any help will be appreciated i have gone though series of article on this issues
{phocagallery view=category|categoryid=57}, but none seem to address my issues i have
Phoca Gallery Plugin
Phoca Gallery Slideshow Plugin
Phoca Gallery Button Plugin
all installed and updated.

can you enlighten me further cos i dont know much about code i have read the article and i dont know what to do next which php file i should look for.
