Gallery - Overlay Obscuring pictures

Hi, I have a number of galleries and when you click on the thumbnail, it brings up full picture view that can be scrolled through with arrows - they used to have a black shadow (page overlay) that was behind the gallery when you made it large - to make viewing better. Now that black opaque overlay is over the pictures - the images are obscured behind that overlay and i can't figure out how to make it go behind the images again.

Hi, can you paste a screenshot to see what you exactly mean? Did this happen with some standard template?
