Display Problems

Post by ozace50 »

I have a website at members.nswspc.org.au/conferences/photo-galleries with several photo galleries under the Conferences menu item. I have recently update Joomla to 1.5.26 and Phoca Gallery to 2.8.1.

Two of the galleries do now not display - all galleries displayed properly before the updates were applied. The files are on the website in the correct place, the settings for the galleries are all the same, all images are authorized and published.

If I add a gallery with two images to test it, it will not display. I can see the gallery in the category list screen on the front end, and I can see placeholders for the images. But the images will not display.

Normally, all galleries are tagged Registered. I have made the test gallery Public so that you can see it to see what I mean above.

Can anyone suggest what can be done to get the photos to display?

Hi, check if the images are published and authorized (the same for category), check if the thumbnails creation is enabled.

Hi Jan, thanks for replying. All the images and categories are authorized and published. The folder with the images and the folder with the thumbnails have 755 level permissions and the files themselves have 644.

I have been using Phoca Gallery for several years, and I have not seen this problem before. It is usually a very well-behaved component.

Thanks. I might have to consider removing the photos and the component and trying a total re-install.
