assign different categories to one photo

Post by SvenZ »

How can I assign photos to different (more than just one) categorie?
Background:
I have a multi language website.
So I have each categorie in diff. languages but should contain to same photos.
The workaround for me now is to upload every photo more than once (for each category) but I guess that's not the way it's meant to be...

Thanks for help

Hi, one original image can be added to more categories - every image item will have own ID (but more image items can use only one original image). E.g.

ID 1 can be stored in category A and ID 2 can be stored in category B and both of them can use one original image.

OK, I found it out.
In the pictures section I have to copy the certain pic to get it twice, then I can assume it to category x and category y.
Another question:
Is it possible to make sub categories? something like a tree structure?
something like this:

Holiday
|_ Day 1
|_ Day 2
|_ Day 3
|_ Morning
|_ Afternoon
|_ Evening

Hi, yes, this is the basic feature.

OK, done.
But how can I make that the sub categories only become visible if I open the consecutive master category?
Now it appears like this:
Holiday
Holiday >> Day1
Holiday >> Day1 >> Morning
Holiday >> Day1 >> Afternoon

Better: is there a module/component to show all categories/sub categories as a tree structure?

You can disable displaying of subcategories in categories view - see Options.
