I've read through several topics with similar error but with different error message.

I am working with learning/testing Joomla 3.0 on a personal computer using XAMPP. I have installed Phoca Gallery successfully, I think. At least it shows in the list of Components. When I click on Phoca Gallery in the Component list I get the following error:

Warning: require_once(J:\xampp\htdocs\personal/administratorDScomponentsDScom_phocagalleryDSlibrariesDSloader.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in J:\xampp\htdocs\personal\administrator\components\com_phocagallery\phocagallery.php on line 16

The offending line of code is:

 require_once( JPATH_ADMINISTRATOR.DS.'components'.DS.'com_phocagallery'.DS.'libraries'.DS.'loader.php');

It appears that the DS (Directory Separators) are not getting translated correctly, but I don't know why or how to fix.

Any help is appreciated. The Gallery seems to be well regarded and I look forward to using it once I can get through this roadblock.

First of all, thanks to phoca for the good job.


i am also interessted in a solution for this problem. I am also testing joomla 3 and want to use the phoca-tools (because of the good experiences in the past).

I have manually chanced the line but it will not work. then i became an error with the inheriting from the JController-Class.

Hi, on my localhost, the version for Joomla! 3 will be ready soon - I am overwriting it (anyway I am overwriting it over 5 months - it must be completely overwritten as joomla 3 is different to joomla 2.5 and has no backward compatibility, so really not so easy to only make some small changes to version which works under 2.5) ... I hope, within a couple of days I will be able to release Phoca Gallery 4 Alpha.

I think my problem is related to the above mentioned ones. I installed the 4.0.0.alpha3
Would be wonderful if anyone can help me out correcting what seems to go wrong. This error forces me to shut down the phoca gallery on my website temporarily, otherwise it will not load...

Hi, yes, the content plugin is not ready for Joomla! 3. New one needs to be written.
