Phoca menulink focus lost when opening category

Hi,
I have a website using Phocagallery where I have 5 submenus under a main menu link. Each submenu is of type "Phoca Gallery » List Of Categories (Categories View)". When I open any of the categories displayed on the page of, for example, the second or third submenu, the focus is lost and the website thinks that the first submenu is selected. I have reproduced the same behaviour in the standard joomla template. I would like to know if this might be a bug or if I have missed something in my configuration.

To see the issue in action go to

and open any of the categories. You will see the selected page shift from tafels (tables) to kasten (shelves).

Hi, behaviour of the menu links is made by Joomla! or template - this is a menu module and the settings can be found in Joomla! or in the temlate (e.g. styling of the menu items and its subitems per CSS). So try to check menu link parameters and template CSS.

Actually you posted the following reply to a similar issue:

there is the following tree: categories -> category -> subcategory -> image. If you are placed in some level, e.g. in subcategory, the system looks for the parent category and then for the categories view - to follow the tree. Joomla! has the format of urls set by menu links, so the system needs to find some menu link and use the Itemid of it - to build the site - but there is no option to know which menu link should be used (in case there are two different menu links which can display e.g. through the tree the same view ... so in this case the system is very powerful but in some parts limited - to ask why this works this way you need to ask Joomla! developers as they did it such way )

Maybe I should close this one and continue on the other one. Can you just confirm that it is the same? I do have one specific menu per category I am displaying so this should be possible (in theory at least).

Hi Miriam,
Check the url build on the bottom of the page when you hover over a category image, its the same behavior I had on my site ( always ...portfolio/kasten/...).
I solved it now by changing some code (see my thread), this should also solve your problem.
