Change the root directory

i've been searching about that and can't find anything...

i need to change the root directory (images/phocagallery) for a directory with less characters

i'm using the 2.7.8 version

Hi, this needs to be customized in the code, see the path class in Phoca Gallery libraries folder.

is there any solution to change the root folder out of current domain?
for example:
my actually server root (not joomla root) is "/data/web/DOMAIN1.LTD/web/" - here is the joomla with phoca gallery
and i want store images in "/data/sub/SUBDOMAIN/images/..." or maybe on different server

When i change path in "administrator/components/com_phocagallery/libraries/phocagallery/path/path.php" changes affect only url after current domain

Joomal ver. 2.5.7
Phoca Gallery ver. 3.2.2

I see Your post above, but as i wrote in my post above, when i change path in "administrator/components/com_phocagallery/libraries/phocagallery/path/path.php" changes affect only url after current domain i.e. wen i change anything in path.php file changes affect only url in current domain.

For exemple:
my current domain is ww w.MYDOMAIN.LTD
currently is images stored in ww w.MYDOMAIN.LTD/images/phocagallery/...
and what i want is, move the images to images.MYDOMAIN.LTD, or OTHERDOMAIN.LTD (in same server)
currently in path.php i can only change "/images/phocagallery/..."

Hi, unfortunatelly, I didn't test to do the modifications yet, so cannot add any clue advices there , try to see similar posts, there are some useful guides, but what everything needs to be modified and if there will be some conflict, really cannot say

still no solution?

btw: in the Phoca Download it is easy to set up in "administrator/index.php?option=com_phocadownload&view=phocadownloadset" > "Absolute Path"
