Cooliris RSS file regenerate

Post by joedaddy »

Cooliris working, deleted a number of files, removed them from image list and ftp deleted the files. Selected the category and clicked on Cooliris in category and it recreates the OLD RSS file with wrong files, course category does not work with cooliris anylonger. So how do I regenerate the proper RSS file. Thanks,

Hi, try to see if you are able to resave the RSS ( overwrite the file). If it was delete, then try to see the cache on your Joomla! or server

Steps I took.
1 - Identified the ID # of category i.e. 122 then deleted RSS file 122 (Looked at it first and it contained info related to the category but had 35 or so pictures and I deleted down to 10. I then deleted the file via FTP on the server, then recreated the file using Category/Cooliris button and it restores the old RSS file with original contents. How do you force a reconfig of RSS files. Before I erased file, I had simply selected category then clicked on cooliris button but it had no effect. BTW, the deleted pictures were removed from Phoca Gallery (blank icons) using trash and from the folder via ftp. Should I clear cache?

respectfully,

Joe

Jan,

I had some 'deleted' icons still in the database. :o

How about considering a 'search option' of the image database list that displays pictures without files/missing icons etc?

Thanks again for your consideration,

Hi, maybe the recreating RSS (XML) is fatster and easier than search the system for the non existing images - new RSS will be created immediatelly.
