Hello!
Sorry for my inlges, I'm using the google translator.
I'm with a website under construction and have tried the joomla 1.6 and I have problems with the use of phocagallery for this version of joomla.
My intention is to provide users with galleries of animated images (*. gif)
And the problem I have is that when creating the thumbnail, the animation is lost.
I tried to disable the thumbnail generator, but then does not record images. (Error message while saving item).
I've been watching the tutorials that you have on the web and I see nothing that can help me with my problem.
I know if I substitute the thumbnails for the original gif image to solve the problem. But my project is to allow users to upload their own animated gif and automatically.
I hope you can help me thanks in advance.

Hi, GD library on your server does not know to create animated GIF, I think, so you need to create the animated GIF thumbnails on your PC and load them per FTP to thumbs folders.

Re: Animation gif in version joomla 1.6
Hi Jan,
After creating the animated GIF thumbnails on my pc and replacing the ones on thumb folder, they work fine on category view,
but when I try to popup using the boxplus detail window, the animation doesn't work. Any idea how to fix this?
Thanks in advanced.

Hi, you need to replace all the thumbnails - small, medium and large (used in detail window)

Hi, did you replace the thumbnails with your animated gifs! Do they animate if you run them in your PC?

HI Jan,
I did replace the thumbnails with my animated gifs. They animate just fine on PC and they animate just fine on phoca category view. The problem is they don't animate on boxplus view, when you open the image, it is displayed on a pop-up window. There is not animated. Any idea why is this happening?
Thanks.

Hi, I think you need to use some popup iframe method to see animated images:
