Upgrading to joomla 2.5

Post by polleke »

Hi Jan,
i have a problem with upgrading to joomla 2.5

Some history:
My site was hacked. So only my data was saved. (backup from all php's was infected)
So i checked a document on :
https://www.phoca.cz/documents/50-phoca/ ... -joomla-25
And i tryed the following.
I installed phocagallery 3.2.1 on my joomla 2.5 site. (choose install)
I exported the data from my old database.
And wanted to import them into the new database. (the old version was 2.8.1)
Now there is an error.
INSERT INTO `j25_phocagallery`
VALUES ( 470, 1, 0, 'anouk2', 'anouk2', 'broos/anouk2.jpg', '', '2008-06-13 13:13:26', 186, '', '', '', '', '', '', '', 0, 0, NULL , '', '', 0, '', 0, 1, 1, 0, '0000-00-00 00:00:00', 4, '', NULL , NULL , NULL , NULL ) ;

MySQL retourneerde: Documentatie
#1136 - Column count doesn't match value count at row 1
Can you help to get my phoca gallery back on line ?

regards Jan

Hi, this seems like some column is new and the old data does not count with this situation. Did you exactly follow the guide - first export/import data and then add the missing columns?

Try to compare the database structure in phpmyadmin e.g. to see which column is missing in old database table or which is missing in new database table.

Hi Jan,

I hope i did. But i do not think so.
You say export import and then add missing columns
should it not be : add missing columns export and then import ?

I can not fount anything about adding missing columns. Can you give me a link where i can find that piece of documentation?

Hi Jan,
i made a different export, so the columnnames where added (like you told in the documentation  ).
And now it works fine.

And phoca gallery is up and running.

Thanks for help.

I seem to be having a problem here with the same error message and there is one step in your instructions that is unclear?
See link: https://www.phoca.cz/documents/50-phoca/ ... -joomla-25

Your comment when exporting a dump file: As Syntax to use when insterting data set both of the above, is confusing as I do not have that open in phpMyAdmin? I'm using PHP 5.3.17.

Maybe I need to export with Structure selected so I can get the missing columns? Can't add pictures here so it's a bit of a problem showing my setup to export, but I did follow your instructions with that one exception.

Maybe Polleke can explain what he did differently to get this to work? He said he made a different Export? How so?

Hey Polleke - Can you explain what you did by making a different Export? Seems I am having same issues here with the same error message after upgrading from 1.5 to 2.5.

Thanks.

Okay, I finally figured this out. Seems the interface in cpanel was different from my localhost in MAMP. The server was running PHP 5.3 and that displayed the proper configuration for exporting the data files as described here: https://www.phoca.cz/documents/50-phoca/ ... -joomla-25
So, I upgraded both PhocaGallery and PhocaDownload but there was an issue with PhocaDownload. Seems the new upgrade does not use SECTION names, rather parent categories instead. So, no files would display until I created the new Parent Categories and relinked the real categories to the now NEW Parent Categories. Basically, Parent Categories replace the Section names. I had to relink 200 files and feel bad for others having more than that. Maybe I missed something? Thanks for posting that link Polleke.
