Overwrite sorting settings

Hello everyone,

I've been using Phoca Gallery for my new website wich contains reports of sportevents. Because matches are played from the first to the last minute I've set the sorting option to Ascending. I include the links to these image categories in the articles.

On another part of the website the funniest pictures of all games are combined. I copy these images form their original Phoca galleries to a special gallery. Since you'll always want to see the newest additions there the ordering should be Descending.

Now my problem is that I'd like to show all the images with descriptions (without having to go into detailed view). The only way I can do this, as far as I found out, is by using the category view. According to the documentation I've found on this site, the category view doesn't have a sorting option. Now I can only set one type of image sorting for the whole site...

Anyone has any idea how I can resolve this issue (or is it a feature request)?

Summarizing:
- Is it possible to overwrite the standard sorting option in category view?
or
- Is it possible to see descriptions with images without having to go into detailed view or using the category view?

Hi,

1) yes, you can set ordering in options
2) yes, description can be displayed below thumbnails - see options, like e.g. here:
