Remove upload option in category view

I am wanting to have a page that just shows the images in a category and then a separate page for uploading. I set the enable user control panel to No, but it still shows if a user who has access to that category tries to view it. Is there anyway to just see a category without seeing the upload option?

there are two options to upload images (in category view and in UCP)

In category view, you can hide the possibility to upload.

Hi, just set it in parameters. (as default, there is no upload form in category view)

I understand how busy you are, I work in IT myself. I have been trying to follow the posts and figure this out but after trying everything I have run across, unfortunately I STILL have the user upload at the bottom of my gallery pages. I have put it to category view, both with images and as category custom. I have gone into Parameters ie Options and disabled user control panel and everything to do with uploading as well as rating and comments although I would like to have the ratings and comments. The biggest issue is I do not want users uploading pics to the site. But if the upload form is there someone will try and when it does not work then they will assume the site has problems which does not look good so please if you find time I need to figure out how to remove the upload form from the galleriers and categories.

Ok figured it out, have to go into the categories themselves and change the permissions there........ my bad was so concerned with permissions in the options was missing the obvious.
