Add subcategories from frontend

I'm strubbeling but after twe day's didnt find what i do wrong.
From de Frontend Control Panel i can't make any subcategories.
I see the username i'm logged is has a main categorie. but when going tot subcategories i got the message 'Select category' after i try to make a subcategory.
I use Phoca gallery 3.2.1 with Joomla 2.5.6
Everything into the backend is working fine like the rest of the website.

Hi, first you need to select the main category at the top right, then you can add some subcategory.
