Phocagallery admin menu not created after install

have installed phocagallery for Joomla 2.5.6 and although it seemed to install OK (I got the control panel to add images/create categories etc) once I left the panel I found the Admin menu item had not been created.

I tried a reinstall to be given the message that the menu item could not be installed because it already exists.

I checked the SQL tables and in #_menu I have phocagallery entries again menuType 'main' - nothing against 'menu' though - I understood that admin menu types are stored under menutype 'menu' could this be causing the problem?

Hi Jan,

Thank you for the reply and the link - this helped, but I found other permission problems on the hosting account. once these were solved the admin menu installed properly.
