Very big problem, phoca lost all images

Post by foquito »

Today, I discovered a very big and severe problem at my website.
Clicking on a link, linking to a phoca gallery category (created some months ago), I realized that it didn't work.
So I went on the backend, to check what was happened, and I discovered that I didn't have ANY picture or categories, nothing...everything is like new, without nothing.

Is never happen to someone? How could I fix?! I am ruined if I lost all photos. Obviously I didn't delete or do anything.
I am using phoca v. 2.7.8 and joomla 1.5.22.

Upgrade:

I found on my computer (locahost), a copy of my website, so I can access to back-end and see the categories and the images missing. Any chances to recovery from there and import in the remote website? I mean a sort of backup.

did you recently update your phcagallery component? and clicked the install instead of the upgrade button?

Hi,

no I didn't do anything. I just went on the website and I noticed that error, then I discovered that in the phoca gallery backend I didn't have anything (I have neither category nor images, but in the folder /images/phocagallery I have them).
Thanks for support, I am in a mess :(

Does php error reporting say something (when php error reproting is enabled and debug mode either - https://www.phoca.cz/documents/16-joomla ... rs-on-site )

Hello,

thanks for reply.

I tried to enable these line on htaccess:

# Displaying PHP errors
php_flag display_errors on
php_value error_reporting 6143

but I don't get any errors.

I try to explain again my problems:

1) Clicking on a link, linking to a phoca gallery category (created some months ago) everything is blank, and in the backend I don't have ANY picture or categories, nothing...everything is like new, without nothing, BUT I have all pictures on /images/phocagallery.

2) clicking on a link, sending to a category http://www.*********.com/folder/category/11I get this error 404 with the following message "category is not published":

The problem came by itself, I mean, I didn't do anything. I am using ACESEF, but it has working fine until now.

Please help, because I'm really in a mess :x

Hi, does it work when you disable acesef?

If you get blank page, there seems to be still php error, maybe it is not allowed on your server to enable php error reporting per .htaccess. Try to ask your webhosting operator.
