Phoca gallery 3.2.0 not running in Joomla 2.5.6

Hello everyone, i am new to Phoca and i want to ask something. I installed Phoca gallery 3.2.0 to Joomla 2.5.1 and everything was working perfectly. When Joomla auto-updated to 2.5.6 nothing worked in Phoca gallery and gives several warnings such as Warning: mysqli_num_rows() expects parameter 1 to be mysqli_result, boolean given in C:\wamp\www\horizon\libraries\joomla\database\database\mysqli.php on line 263 and Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in C:\wamp\www\horizon\administrator\components\com_phocagallery\libraries\phocagallery\render\renderadmin.php on line 70. Has anyone faced the same problems? And if someone found a solution to this problem?

I am also having extreme difficulties with Phoca Gallery 3.2.0 in Joomla 2.5.6

I have to manually adjust the category access level in the database (_phocagallery_categories) to zero even though I set the access to public in admin.

I cannot upload images from the front end. For a single upload, I get message that says "Error while saving item", for a multiple upload I cannot select more than one image at a time, and the size shows as zero in the list, and when I hit start upload, I get an error message "unable to upload image"

And thumbnails cannot be created - I get the message "Error while Creating Thumbnails (Error1)"

This was a clean install of Joomla 2.5.6, with no other extensions other than Phoca Gallery.

Phoca Gallery was working really well up to about a week ago at my main site. Then I upgraded to 2.5.6 from 2.5.3, and now it doesn't work. Even when I install the backup file of 2.5.3, the main site doesn't work. This is why I did a clean install to investigate what might be going on, but I am out of things to try.

After much investigation, and installing Joomla/Phoca Gallery on a different server, etc., I found that the dozens and dozens of image files sent to me for upload appear to be corrupt. I received the following warning when I uploaded at a new site:
Warning: imagecreatefromjpeg() [function.imagecreatefromjpeg]: gd-jpeg, libjpeg: recoverable error: Corrupt JPEG data: 116 extraneous bytes before marker 0xd9 in /home/.../html/administrator/components/com_phocagallery/libraries/phocagallery/image/imagemagic.php on line 214

When I ran the file through Photoshop and saved for web - it uploads fine. I am almost a happy camper again.

Hi, then you should:

a) ask the webhosting operator for the GD used on your server (maybe there is some problem with it)
b) or check to resave the images, maybe it includes some error, which can be ignored on PC but no on server GD library
