Hi,
- thumbnail in search results - search results are rendered by Joomla! itself, so this cannot be added to Phoca Gallery and needs to be customized in the code of Joomla! - see similar posts, here somewhere in the forum, there are guides for doing it

- link to category - Joomla! search outcome site does not have loaded javascript methods to display detail images in popup, so it cannot link to image directly as Joomla! does not know this feature, so first it needs to be linked to category where javascript libraries are loaded

Hi,

1) not recommended as the number is good for SEO (like by Joomla! articles, users can remember the number than the whole alias, if alias will be changed nothing will happen to the link, as it behave to the number not to alias - this is very important for SEF - that the link allways works) ... so for now I have no experiences with removing it, I think then the core Joomla! needs to be modified as links are created by Joomla!
