error 500

I only get and error when i try to access "images" from control panel... IF i try to access "categories" "tags" or anything else... nothing... everything works perfect! I can even upload images from front end! The strangest thing is that everything worked perfect just a few days ago, nothing changed or installed in a meanwhile

I have the same error 500 with joomla 1.7, Phoca 3.2.0. but after installing the Fr language. The menu swithes in french but not the text under the icons. The error comes when I select Images and Categories, not the other menus.

The .sys.ini and the .ini files are well installed in their folders.

I then uninstalled the fr package, the issue is still there

Found the error! Updated to joomla 2.5.4 and error showed up! Is that it? php.ini?

Nope ! it does not work, other failures, I went back to 1.7, but the beta 3.2 works fine on this joomla version 1.7...

So is it hosting or phoca? Can we turn off something to lower that time? Please help me out or i am stack with moving like 5gb of images and recreating 100 albums :/ What are my options ? Thanks guys!

Well, what is did is;

Checked parameters and disabled Pagination Thumbnail Generation and Enable Thumbnails Generation
and i was able to enter "images" Then i went back and enabled and then went back to images and phoca created thumbnails of few images and now everything works again...

So i checked those image and they are around 6mb each but uploaded with gallery that contains around 60 of those from 4 to 6mb... so maybe in the process of creating thumbnails phoca timed out and bugged or something

Hi, Phoca does not create thumbnails on your server. Thumbnails are created by GD library which is a part of php on your server. Normally, original images should be e.g. to 1mb, max 2mb size so they can be managed by website servers. If your original images are larger than 2MB, then maybe you should do the thumbnails on your PC (as server is not a PC and works other way) ... See similar posts in this forum.
