Category Comments

I have comments set to category only. The problem is, I only want comment on the final subcategory in the tree.

Cat1
|_ SubCat1_1 (No Comments)
|__SubCat1_2 (Leave Comments)
|_ SubCat2_1 (No Comments)
|__SubCat2_2 (No Comments)
|___SubCat2_3 (Leave Comments)

Can this be done without modifying the code?

Hi, in fact I don't know as I didn't do such modifications. You need to set somewhere that if the category id is not you want, that then the comments will be not displayed. but it is not so easy, you should protect the adding of comments into system too. This protection needs to be created in module...

so displaying the comment - in views (category view components/com_phocagallery/views/category/tmpl/ ... + view.html.php + models )

Thanks for post, i have the same request, i'm running phoca gallery 3.2 on joomla 2.5, i try to customize the code, but I found some difficulties.
I even try to use the code by RiverRaid but i failed.
Please if someone use it on the new phocagallery can post the code and where it should be placed?
