Hidden reCAPTCHA field visible

Hi,
I have a joomla 1.5.25 website and use your guestbook V1.5.3
Due to a high amount of spam i switched to reCAPTCHA.
The message form is on top of the page and is setr to hidden.
By clicking the link the form opens.
However when the form is hidden still the field where the catcha code needs to be entered is visible.
As a workaround I keep the form unhide but this is not what we want.
Is this a known issue?
