Folder Icon instead of Image

Post by jwill »

I am in the progress of migrating from Joomla 1.5 to 2.5 (using the steps listed on the Phoca website.) Everything went well except for one thing.

I have several top level categories that have sub-categories (2nd level) under them, and a some of the 2nd level sub-categories have 3rd level sub-categories under them. In the 1.5 version, if the third level category had an image, a random image would be displayed in its parent and in the top level category (even when the 2nd level category has only 3rd level categories and no images.) In the 2.5 version, a random image is displayed only in the immediate parent so if there are images in the 3rd level category, the 2nd level category will display a random image but the top level category shows a folder instead of a random image. I have tried changing every setting I can think of but I can only get the random image to display in the immediate parent category.

Did something change between the 1.5 version and the 2.5 version or have I missed a setting?

That us a shame, is this something that will be enabled in the J2.5 sites soon or not at all? Maybe an option to select a category image instead then?

Cheers

Hi, some security reasons in fact can prevent from displaying some design features, so for now security is more than design :-( :-(
