Category with photos and one video. How to create?

Hello, Jan and friends.

There is a task to create portofolio which will be presented by many pages(many Phoca categories) with identical structure:
photos at the top and one visually separeted video at the bottom which can be played by clicking on it.
Here is an illustration of a category structure:


Can you suggest how to make it?

Hi,
the only (easy) way to do this with phoca gallery i can think of is by using the slideshow plugin:
- create an article for each page
- add image thumbnails from desired category (by using the plugin code or very easy with the phoca gallery editor button)
- do the same with the video

check out the plugin demo to get an idea and the documentation for details.

I had gone by another way. I have put at the end of category view default.php script <div> tag with jdoc include statement which will contain Joomla Custome HTML module with youtube embeding code. I had assigned position for Custom HTML module with youtube inserting code and now gallery displays inserted <div> , but there is no joomla module at the bottom of the gallery.

What can it be?

depending on your settings in joomla, and/or your editor, some code gets removed from the content. this might have happenend to the youtube code
try to include a module with plain text, if that works you have to find the settings that remove the youtube code.

I've followed your suggestion. No result. Then I've assigned my Custome HTML module with testing text to the parent menu item of my concrete gallery and module has appeared in the parent menu item page and in all child galleries. My parent menu item has a Categies view presentation and there is a concrete category where I need my module to display, not in all.

I have one guess. When I'm choosing menu item which module should be displaing on, I'm pointing child menu item, which visitor never click at, because he comes to my concrete gallery through the click on a category in a categories view, which is displayed by the parent menu item in the mainmenu. Due to design i can't display my child menu items in menus.

So what can i do then?

It's true.
When I follow the menu item(phoca category view type) which was assigned for displaying of joomla Custom HTML module(which contains youtube embeding code), module with video appears at the selected gallery. And the link of a gallery looks like:

But when I come to the same gallery through the categories view there is no module and the page link is:

So there is a difference in links for the same gallery

Does somebody know the solution?

reko, thanks. but how to make pagination with your method? And every page of a gallery (category) have to cantain the same video at the bottom.

I've found solution.
as it turned out, i came to my gallery not through the categories view, but through the category view, parent menu item was of category view type.
But category view was more beautiful and i want it back. but custom html module won't be pisplayed then.

Why doesn't it work when I come to the galllery from a category view?
