Import of EXIF Date with importing images?

Hi

Is it possible to import the date and time from the EXIF information to the "Date" field of the "publishing options".
Problem is, if I import images with "multiple add" every images gets the same date and time. So it is not possible to sort the images with date.
Or is it possible to give every imported image automatically one second more in this field?

It should be possible, even without php exif extension. I know and use one photo cms that works this way. It would be good if such feature would be in PG as well. I posted a feature request in uservoice. See the link below. You will find there also a link to the special library that could help to implement it:
